Suicide Prevention Coalition Mesa County:
This group is focused on bringing suicide prevention awareness, education and information to the forefront of our community. We are looking to create an environment in which community members can openly discuss and obtain resources to reduce risk factors, attempts, and deaths by suicide. CEC is a proud fiscal agent of the Colorado National Collaborative grant – a CDC pilot project aimed at reducing suicide burden by 20%
Mesa County Behavioral Health Steering Committee
This committee works to ensure that Mesa County residents have access to high quality, reliable behavioral health care. Areas of focus include making services more affordable, improving systems designed to support those experiencing crises, and addressing the root causes of poor behavioral health outcomes. CEC chairs the affordability subcommittee and is working to help reduce financial barriers to care.
ECHOflex (Everyone Can Help Others)
A Project 1.27 Program
Mesa County has seen a steady trend of negative outcomes in mental health, disproportionately impacting vulnerable children and families that have experienced foster, kinship and adoptive care. Together we provide whole-family programming focused on addressing unmet basic needs and the integration of accessible, effective, culturally relevant mental health supports and resiliency skills. CEC works with community partners to lead this training in Resilience for foster, kinship, and adoptive families.
When you donate to CEC, you give meaning to a person’s life by helping them achieve connection, strength, healing and health. Your support brings the invaluable gift of counseling to children, teens and adults throughout our community. With your help, we can help them. THANK YOU from CEC and from our whole community!
